What we look for.

  • Comfort following animal-handling and safety guidance.
  • Reliable and respectful of scheduled commitments.
  • Willing to attend a short orientation before starting.
  • Some roles may have minimum-age or supervision requirements.
  • Animal-handling experience is helpful, but not required for every role.

Foster a pet

A temporary home can change everything.

Foster families give animals somewhere safe to rest, recover, and build confidence while we search for the permanent home that suits them best.

How long will I foster?

Placements vary depending on the animal and situation. We’ll discuss the expected commitment before a placement begins.

What do I need to provide?

A safe, suitable environment, patience, basic daily care, and regular updates while the animal is with you.

Will I have support?

Yes. Pawsitive Futures stays part of the process and provides guidance throughout the foster placement.
